TAIPEI, TAIWAN, Nov. 21, 2011 – BenQ Group staged another stellar performance during 2012 iF product design award by gaining nine major awards, the highest among Taiwanese firms, which attests to its leading design capability in Taiwan and underscores the international acknowledgement of its design capability.
Manfred Wang, Chief Design Officer of BenQ Group, points out that iF design award is often known as the Oscar of industrial design, possessing guidepost significance for the global industrial design industry. Entries of this year’s contest doubled the amount last year, making the competition even fiercer. The retention of nine major awards testifies to BenQ Group’s design capability again. Up to 2011, BenQ Group ranks seventh place worldwide, in terms of the number of awards for the iF design award, third place in Asia, and 1st place in Taiwan.

iF design award publicizes its award winners at the end every year. For the 2012 contest, there are 4,322 entries presented by 1,605 contestants from 48 countries. There are a total 1,218 award-winning products. The award-granting ceremony will be held at BMW World, Munich in Germany, on Feb. 10, 2012.
